A Short Biography:

 

 

I live in Georgia with my husband, children, and two cats.  I like to write, read,

see movies, spend time with family, and travel.  I began my professional career

as a storyboard artist in animation, and worked for Walt Disney Feature Animation

for many years.  I have since retired from animation and write full time. 

 

 

A longer Biography:  

 

I have written stories and drawn pictures as long as I can remember.  My early professional life began with a degree in animation from Cal Arts. I went on to work at Walt Disney Feature Animation for many years. It was a wonderful time filled with incredibly talented people. I worked on films including Atlantis, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Emporer's New Groove, Tarzan, and an early version of Gnomeo and Juliet.  I went on to earn an MFA in Writing For Children and Young Adults from Vermont College.  I retired from animation, moved to Georgia, and now write full time. I am married and have children.  I also have two cats named Poe and Lucy, who help me write and are glad to curl up on manuscripts left laying around.  My husband has a photography business: binghamfreelance.com  We live in the north Georgia mountains and enjoy the company of deer, bear, and bunnies.
